One piece chapter 1125
Salute recruits and soldiers on this FURIOUS Friday ⚓️🌊⚓️🌊⚓️🌊⚓️🌊⚓️🌊⚓️🌊⚓️🌊
chapter 1125 has dropped and I am LIVID, RAGING FURIOUS ...about what Saint Saturn has done to my hubby Doberman 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 !!!!!
He better be only unconscious!!!!
Luckily karma arrives for Saint Saturn and he is exterminated... also if I had to speculate I say this little action of Saint Saturn that is witnessed by 8 other vice admirals might just be a bit too much even for Sakazuki to ignore it will further add to the tension between government and marines...coup d'etat might be on the cards...

General fandom consensus seemed to be that the Five Elders questioned the Marines' Absolute Justice judging by their reactions to the nuking of Lulusia but were trapped by Imu and the system. This seems to confirm that they have just as much of a god complex as any other Celestial Dragon. Shame, I liked the idea of morally grey Five Elders.

OP ch 1125 SPOILERS
my reaction as i read:
so i guess finding Minamoto will be Yamabro's next mission
also i'm glad to see Oden's castle being rebuilt but shouldn't there be like a gigantic crater from Kaido blasting it and then Shinobu using her fruit?
is Lucci protecting Stussy or did Kaku lie to him? based on Kaku's expression i'm betting on the latter
the vice admirals look like children who were caught doing something bad and called in front of the principal lol
oh, this is so funny... Saturn ordering to study Emet in secret is fkin hilarious
also, this is a confirmation that Saturn got the eternal youth surgery like Imu (though the "youth" part is debatable lol) and we can infer the others got it too most likely (that doesn't mean that they are from the oid Century though - remember how they talked about the Nika fruit like it's a legend for them? it's very possible these Gorosei aren't the original ones. i do believe Imu is from the VC tho)
Doberman, aren't you a vice admiral? one would think he'd already know not to ask such questions lol
still wondering what the glare attack is tho. it doesn't seem to be haki since there's no lightning to provide a visual cue for us but who knows... Oda might not be adding the lightning just to confuse us
huh? Edison? he's still alive :D ! (of course he is..) but also wtf just happened? Edison i love your genius brain so much! that's one less victory for the World Government (suck it York! and Gorosei! >:D)
seeing Tenryubito suffer (if it can even be called suffering) brings smile to my face
holy shit! Garling! omg... are they gonna kill Saturn?
also, does he even know anything about science? (although... judging by the current state of the world... one doesn't need to know anything about a subject to be in charge of it...)
Garling really just said "how do you do fellow kids" lol
and the rest of the Gorosei don't look very happy lol i wonder if there's a hidden meaning behind the last reaction shot being Peter's... might the traitor theory be true?
oh that was beautiful! rest in piss Saturn ^-^ i'm so glad it wasn't quick and painless >:)
damn, only bones left (i so need to know wtf is going on with Imu's powers)
the rest of the Satellites! :D
lmao what is that
you do indeed have lovely proportions Shaka lol
oh hi Haredas :D of course they know each other
my darling husband Sabo is connecting the dots he's so smart
(Iva too) so Tequila Wolf isn't the only one... i'm guessing there's one for each Blue (and why tf are they all named after alcoholic drinks)
Dragon always the realist
for a breather chapter in-between arcs a bunch of big stuff happened and were revealed. just seeing Saturn die painfully made this an excellent chapter lol

One Piece Chapter 1125 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
A week break gone and now we're back again
It always takes so long but we return to One Piece. Elbaf is on the horizon, and while questions float over Vegapunk there may still yet be a little more before we reach the land of giants.
Let's see what we have
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release too!
Yamato's latest pit stop is the still-rebuilding Oden castle
Minatomo the carpenter has gone missing, so I guess that's the next step - probably missing his student who happens to actually be very skilled at carpentry
The WG continue to wrap things up on Egghead, ready to load the Seraphim and leave, we don't know what they intended for the Mark IIIs and the Weaponized Sea Beasts though
Lucci and Kaku board with angered faces, claiming Stussy was KIA
Unusual for Lucci to lie about that though isn't it?
Saturn though wraps up the benefits of the operation, citing that getting York and the Mother Flame is a win, but there was one critical hiccup
The Vice Admirals are in audience with him, and apologize for failing to capture Bonney and the Straw Hats even with a Grand Buster Call
They ask to make chase to Elbaf, but are turned down
The true hiccup was Vegapunk's message getting out
He also mentions that the awakening of Emeth was ironic
We get a flashback 200 years ago, turns out Emeth being studied on was by Saturn's permission! He wanted the tech for military might
Man literally left a 200 year chekhov's gun on the table
As Saturn mulls about Emeth, Vice Admiral Doberman makes a foolish mistake, and asks if that means Vegapunk's message was true
And thus he gets eyeshotted, though he seems to just be KO'd, since they call a medic
Something's happening in the Labophase though
York sees a ton of clouds in the lab, and realises that a plan has been undertaken
Edison's not dead! But York is trying to rectify that
But it's a feint, and as York fires to the side the top half of the egg floats away
Punk Records has been swiped from the clutches of the WG
Back at Marejois and naturally, the Celestial Dragons are not taking the low food supplies well
Sadly that means lots of killing and blaming
Akainu catching a stray for not capturing Kuma, but it seems that most of the Dragons were unaware of Vegapunk's reveal
Figarland Garling approaches the remaining Gorosei in their usual place
He has new orders: York is under his command now, because he's the new Minister of War
Saturn fucked up and now he just got demoted! That really ruins the planet motif
Oh but what of Saturn? He screams in agony on his ship
Looks like Imu has no use for him, and the black haze that seemed to restore them from damage now suffocates him
The Vice Admirals just look in horror, unknown to what's causing this
The seemingly impervious Saturn retches and grows thinner, almost hollowed out
Imu tells him their motives; Joy Boy was allowed to escape, so they are responsible
Black smoke and flames erupt from the ship, and what remains of Jaygarcia Saturn is just bones
Back at the now floating Punk Records, it seems the satellites are all alive, chatting among each other
Shaka notes they intended to get the whole Fabriostratum, but they're glad to get Punk Records out of York's hands
Pythagoras notes that she can still link up with Punk Records, but it'll only to be to fulfill its original intention
Shaka predicts it'll still take 500 years to achieve its true objective
But everyone thinks they're dead so there's limited pursuit, but that also means no funds
Edison has a new body, a frankenbody of spare parts
His own head, Atlas and Pythagoras' arm, and Shaka's torso and legs
Shaka also jabs at Edison for always admiring his height
Atlas however wants York's spare parts thrown out, which the rest of the group agree on
It is very fortunate Sanji never found this room of spare body parts
Edison also has another connection up his sleeve, and calls Weatheria!
Over to the Revolutionary Army and they are gathering the intel from Vegapunk's message
They also conclude that whoever gets the One Piece gets access to the power to destroy the world too
Belo Betty seems like she is ready to oppose the pirates, and in turn Luffy and Robin
Sabo doesn't comment, only noting that it explains why the first Celestrial Dragons took up home on the Red Line
Oh! Tequila Wolf wasn't the only one...Vodka Wolf, Rum Wolf and Bourbon Wolf
We know there's a Vodka kingdom since that's where Kaido came from, wonder if that's a connection
Dragon mulls on the coast, noting how many will take Vegapunk's message to scramble for higher land
Looks like Dragon's got a boot up the ass, to speed up his plan
Well this is interesting
The power structure has changed, Figarland Garling is our new Gorosei, Saturn is no more. A brutal death to a seemingly unkillable being at the hands of Imu, but the interesting part is what it tells and what it implies. Saturn was a person, and it seems that Imu was able to keep him alive for so long, at least 200 years. Does that mean there were other Gorosei back in the day? And does the Gyuki transformation transfer over to Garling? Will he be empowered with a new shape? The World Government may still have York and the Mother Flame, but the loss of Punk Records is huge! I guess that's what Lilith meant by them not being dead, I guess they all still can connect to one satellite and share the body. The frankenbody is unusual, though I wonder if they'll come back in a different shape next time, following refinement for convenience given how weird their proportions are right now. Interesting not to hear the Stella talk either, I guess he could still be the brain jar but maybe he is the sole casualty?
The Celestial Dragons starving may've killed a Gorosei but it will lead to more violence and blaming, not gonna be good for the current climate, which is probably why Imu anticipates war. Imu is definitely paying attention to Luffy now, calling them Joy Boy, but Saturn did in a way cause all his own undoing, from Emeth, Kuma and Vegapunk himself, he underestimated everyone because they were insects to him and they all outwitted him, an ant bite can still kill a man.
The Revolutionary Army look to gear up for something big. They have been making smaller strides in general but maybe now Oda's gonna put them to work. I do kinda hope though that they don't directly oppose Luffy like Koby intends to, Sabo that is your brother and all the RA have friendly ties to Robin. Everyone is like 'this power is dangerous and can destroy the world' but nobody's reminding themselves that Luffy ain't about destroying the world. Like, maybe just help pave the way? The Grand Fleet need to be kicked into gear to help with that too.
All in all a lot to consume and chew on with this chapter, especially compared to the linear brevity of the last. I doubt we'll go to Elbaf next chapter though, we have the dangling thread of Kuma and Bonney still to deal with, and of course whatever game-changing thing is about to happen on the other sides of the world.
Oda and his round numbers man, he loves them round numbers.

Note: not my stuff applause to the original author.
But yeah, that's like every first kiss when Doberman comes home 😏😊
Tumblr media
Imagine your F/O’s smug expression the first time they lean in for a kiss. How it deepens, eyes half closing, a barely perceptible twitch to the corner of their mouth as they feel the nervous swallow in your throat, an excited inhale at the obvious tremble in your bottom lip as you return their affection.
‘What, have you never been kissed before?’ The smirk on their lips is playful as they brush against your lips once more before pulling away, amused to see you lean in closer, trying to recapture the taste of them again. Their amusement is short-lived as they watch an embarrassed expression slip over your face, feeling something wild and hot in their stomach at the realization that they’re the first - your first kiss.
Gone is their amusement and in its place is an urgent desire to have you entirely for themselves. Hands lock onto your face, holding you in place as you try to look down in embarrassment, fingers digging into your chin as their mouth crashes against yours in a bruising, choking press.

It's Called: Freefall
Relationship: Machine!Connor & Reader. AO3 link.
Tw: canon-typical violence and behavior.
Summary:
You were assigned to work with Connor against your best wishes.
And there's something. Connor shouldn't be able to touch a gun, ever.
It was supposed to just help with forensic bullshit, investigation, take your job. Whatever. Not do that shitshow it did on the Eden Club.
Tumblr media
When you were eight, your father had two dogs and the terrible habit of beating things into shape.
Two dogs. Dobermans. Trained to watch the door.
You still remember how they curled up close to you. How warm and soft and gentle they were with you. How your father kept them outside, pitilessly.
Remember how they kept going back to him, wagging their docked tails, love and forgiveness in their eyes despite all the pain.
Never forget: how your father trained them into obedience, until they loved him, and how they believed wholly they could be loved back as long they're good.
~*~*~
"Can I ask you a question, detective?"
You open your eyes, not startled by Connor. The cold hurts your cheeks, and you're not dressed for the weather.
It's difficult to remember why you're here, at first, head pounding with pressure. Eyes dance on the freezed playground and Detroit's river running cold.
Years on the job and your ears still ring with gunshots.
But there's a beer on your hand and an android in pristine clothing before you. You take one step back, back meeting the rail, body instinctively retreating. Shuffling with your feet on the white-covered ground.
"Do all androids ask so many personal questions–, you take a sip of the beer, voice too coarse to talk loud, "–or is it just you?"
Something on your mind tells you it's just him. And this little voice also sends a shiver down your spine– Connor shouldn't be able to touch a gun, ever.
It was supposed to just help with forensic bullshit, investigation, take your job. Whatever. Not do that shitshow it did on the Eden Club.
Connor tilts its head like it's analyzing your thoughts, reading you like an open book. Like it's innocent, and can feel how you tremble from the cold. "Why are you so determined to kill yourself?"
You glance up the sky, scoffing, unable to look it in the eyes. The sky is breathing and crying, tonight. And you pretend Connor's voice doesn't bury a knife between your ribs. How you almost flinches at it.
Humans are so irrational. At the end of the day, it rots between your teeth.
"I don't know what Cyberlife did with your social program, but it's not working," you say, baffled. Then, shaking your head, you mock, "An android with all the virtues I dislike and none the vices I admire."
Connor stands still, snow upon its shoulders. "Woking with an officer with personal issues is an added challenge, but adapting to human unpredictability to is one of my features."
Your eyebrows rise. If you didn't know better, you would say Connor were sarcastic, or even sassy, right now.
But you do know better, and your lips are bleeding red, tongue tasting blood from the mean uppercut that blue-haired Traci gave you, splitting your lips and toring a wound in your jaw, and how the android is better dead.
And Connor died once, already. In the interrogation room, Ortiz's android killed Connor before killing itself. And the paperwork was a headache. Thirium stained Gavin's favorite tshirt, too.
You don't like Connor.
But you don't like Gavin even more.
So you weren't too mad about the paperwork.
(Death is the only real elegance; a promise kept. Those two Tracis never lived but now they are dead. You could throw this at Connor's face; say, even androids want to kill themselves. )
Connor adjust his tie and you roll your eyes. "Cyberlife really thought of everything, huh. They even gave you delusions of adequacy."
You take another sip from the beer, hoping it'll wash off the blood aftertaste. Bitter fighting bitter. Tell yourself it happens to everyone; this reason-less undying grief.
Connor draws closer, never not scrutinizing you. It'll try to make it work between you both; your collaboration matters to the mission, and nothing matters more than the mission– Connor itself told you so.
"You should stop drinking, detective," Connor says, hunching on the rail by your side, human-like. "It could have serious consequences for your health."
You cringe. It sounds genuine, this feigned interest. And you remember that Cyberlife ad, how humans dislike perfection. Connor has uneven dimples, a soft jawline, and nearly-invisible wrinkles– and it infuriates you.
Rage is blood in the water– rage is something that gets stuck on throats–
"That's the idea," you say. And take another sip just to challenge it, or perhaps yourself. Irrational as it is.
Connor decides to ignore the fierceness in your demeanor, setting its eyes on the river. And you decide to swallow more beer, mindful of what battles to fight.
It furrows eyebrows, yet again mimicking human body-language. "We’re not making any progress on this investigation," it says, matter-of-factly. "The deviants have nothing in common. They’re all different models, produced at different times, in different places."
It was taking too long for Connor to rumble back to its ramblings. You sigh, tired. You're clocked-out and this android followed you to talk about work, and you're too sober for this bullshit.
You wish to put Connor's head between the asphalt and the tire of a very heavy truck. Making you work without payment. The audacity! "There must be some link."
With fascination, you watch his jaw visibly tense. "We know the deviants experience an emotional shock, a violent trauma or a sense of injustice," it says, forehead creased.
You glance at the empty and melancholic beer bottle on your hand. "Those android at the Eden Club sure had a reason to feel a sense of injustice."
Connor's eyes shot back to you, nearly indignantly. Nostrils flared and face washed in bafflement. "Nothing in their program allows them to feel wronged," it says, copying the mocking tone you used earlier. "They can simulate human emotions, but they're machines, they don’t feel anything."
You agree. And maybe you should keep your big mouth shut for once, but the edges of your visions are blurry from alcohol. "What about you, Connor? What are you really?"
A defiant act of creation. A crime.
A machine that can not only get your gun from you – you, an officer of the law, – but fire without hesitation. For its own benefit, no less.
"You know exactly what I am," he says, monotone. And it's true, but not what you want to hear. "In any case, I don’t see how that’s relevant to the investigation."
Connor tilts its head again, like a kicked puppy, like you are going to make sense at a 45° angle. You copy him.
"Were just executing a program when you shot those androids, them?" You question, an edge of impatience creeping into your tone.
Were you just executing a program when you left me to die?
You open and close your hands, flexing fingers, a dull pain radiating from the knuckles, spreading through the entirety of the muscles. You had to pull yourself back from the edge of a building.
Not that you were surprised when Connor chose the suspect over you. It made all logical sense. Especially when the deviant could have all the information you needed.
And, of course, Connor did not hesitate when he shot that Traci. Connor's hands can't waver nor tremble like yours.
Humans are too complicated, you'll give Connor that. This resentment bubbling on your chest doesn't belong.
"I did what I was programmed to do," it says, because Connor is just an echo of Cyberlife and Cyberlife doesn't care about who dies and who lives. "I didn't have any doubts, if that's what you're asking."
Suddenly, you are made aware of the gun sitting in your hip. The weight pulling your center of gravity down, how you won every shooting championship within Michigan in the last three years. And Connor knows that because Cyberlife knows everything.
You're so very aware of your gun that you can almost ignore adrenaline running through your veins until your hands shake, nor from fear nor pain, but from sheer instinct. How everything feels hot, burning.
Breathing deep and focusing hard on Connor, you say, "When you took the gun from me, did you feel anything? Didn't you feel it was wrong?"
"I'm sorry," it says, not even trying to pretend some kind of regret or confusion, "but I don't see what you're getting at."
You can't help but give a mirthless laugh.
("What do you want from this?" "A lot. Everything.")
Connor looks at you, brown eyes dull, empty. Studying you to the marrow, burning down like wax, slitting like razor.
What an age to live on! The world is collapsing. Nothing truly matters. Everyone is dying, and everything is dying also. You're going home with your own blood in your mouth.
The night gets heavy, like they always do. "Are you afraid to die Connor?"
Connor is sharp-edged steel and you're prone to cut yourself on it. "Why would I be afraid?"
Another chill creeps through you, lacing your throat with a knot.
" No. No," you say, shaking your head, vindicated if not exasperated, "I know that if I shoot you right now you'll just come back like nothing happened. They'll re-upload a backup. I know that."
Snow sets between you two. And something burns on the gaze Connor's giving you; stern, a furious snow storm behind artificial eyes.
"I am asking, are you afraid to die, Connor? " you say, more force behind your words than necessary. "What happens then?"
It takes a good minute for Connor to digest what you just said. I am afraid to die, you think, unashamed of your own weakness.
But looking at Connor right now, the aloofness behind dull eyes, you finally understand a pivotal element standing just before your eyes.
Connor is a dog someone beat into obedience.
And Connor truly believes that, as long as true effort is put into the mission, as long as the massacre is done and the blood is shed, Cyberlife will turn around and smile and will not raise its hand anymore.
He replies shortly, "Nothing. There would be nothing."

The Siren, the Cook, and the Sister (6)
Sanji x PirateHunter!FemReader (Masterlist) Chapter 6: Can you Imagine? (Previous) (Next) Summary: An acquaintance of yours appears. You try to reconcile with what you just done. Warnings: In-world violence
You knew that voice from anywhere.
“You thought you had me fooled, didn’t you Siren?” it sneered.
Distracted by the earlier commotion, no one saw the approaching Marine warship. Now it stood next to the Thousand Sunny holding an entire Marine battalion with a Vice Admiral at its helm.
“Doberman,” your robotic voice recognized.
“IT’S VICE ADMIRAL DOBERMAN!” shrieked the man into a speaker snail.
Just my fucking luck, you thought. You left Robin’s grasp and walked towards the warship.
With every step, you contemplated your choices. On one end, you could do what you’ve always done and accept your punishment. Maybe if you begged hard enough, they would spare your sister’s life.
Not a chance.
You knew that Doberman wasn’t going to let you or your sister go unscathed. Additionally, the Strawhats were now in danger. With the damage, you inflicted on their ship, the Strawhats were in no position to escape swiftly. As you stopped in front of the warship, you knew exactly what you had to do.
“Anything you want to say for yourself?” asked the Vice Admiral as his battalion scattered on their deck, preparing themselves for battle.
You glanced back at the Strawhats. “I hope this makes us even!” You leaped onto the Marine warship, mask half down and blades out.
———
The Strawhats stood in wonder. In a matter of minutes, the Marine warship was in shambles.
Wow, he really held back on us, thought Sanji. Almost like an acrobat, you flew up and down in the air, using a mixture of sky walk and your scream to maneuver yourself around the enemy ship. Marines scrambled, trying to get away, but it was no use. If you didn’t slice them with your blade, your scream knocked them away. Sanji had to give it to you, you were a strong fighter.
Realizing the opportunity you granted them, Nami called everyone to get ready to escape. Usopp and Franky rushed to repair the most serious damages on the Sunny. Jimbei ran to the wheel, ready for future instructions. Brook rose to the crow’s nest to find the best way out. And Zoro and Sanji manned the sails. With that, the crew was ready to go.
As Chopper checked Nami’s neck, the navigator counted the crew. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8-. “Robin,” she called out, “where’s Luffy?”
— — —
With one final scream, you split the warship in two. You landed on the slanted stern of the ship and admired your work. It felt freeing as a source of your torment slowly sank to the sea floor. Doberman can’t snitch on me if he’s too busy taking a dip in the sea, you coyly thought.
Feeling accomplished, you slowly sky walked to the Sunny. However, the closer you got, dread blossomed in your stomach.
Are we good? Like I know I said ‘this makes us even’ but does it? I mean I did try to kill two of their crew mates and did significant damage on their ship. So like if they’re still mad, I can’t blame them… You know what I’ll just grab my chest and go… yeah… grab my chest and go.
You made a beeline to your chest, completely bypassing Robin, Nami, and Chopper. You threw it over your shoulders and bent your knees, ready to sky-walk out of there. You quickly looked at Robin who stared at you with wide eyes. I should give her back her Vivre card… I’m pretty sure she won’t want to see me again. You held back from it. You wanted a small reminder of these past few days… before you messed up.
Before you could get away, however, a long arm suddenly wrapped around your waist. What the--
Suddenly, Luffy crashed into you, causing you to drop your chest and smash into the side railing of the Sunny. In your place stood a proud Luffy carrying multiple white bags. The captain laughed as you groaned in pain.
“Why?” you moaned out.
“I needed something to hold on to,” he answered as if the answer was obvious.
Nami, recognizing the bags, exclaimed, “is that what I think it is?”
“Yep. Berries.”
Nami hugged her captain and squealed in excitement. “Thank you, thank you Luffy! With all of this, we can for sure repair the Sunny and have some leftover!”
“The Sunny? No, this is for the robot hunter.”
“What!”
What?
You shot up in shock. You couldn’t believe your ears.
Also not sure if he heard right, Sanji, dropped down from the sail. “Did I hear you correctly? You’re giving all of these berries to the Siren?” He glared at you, almost looking at you for an explanation.
Luffy scratched his head. “Yeah. To make up for the berries that we used on the Sunny. Is this not enough?” In front of the captain sat four bags of berries, each holding roughly 200 million berries.
Finally coming to your senses, you answered, “more than enough.” You really couldn’t believe the kid. Despite what you did to his ship and crew, he still felt like he had to pay you back for something that he had no part in. Taken aback by his maturity, you decided to follow in his steps.
“Strawhats,” you called out, “I’m truly sorry for attacking you all and damaging your ship.” You directed your attention to the captain and continued, “although I appreciate the gesture, I don’t think it’s right of me to take these berries. I’ve done enough damage to you all already." You felt your face heat up as they all looked at you. “I’ll just take my chest and leave. I wish you all the best of—“
“No.” Luffy interjected. His face was now serious. He slowly approached you and gently laid his hand on your shoulder. You stilled under his grip. Maybe he did want revenge.
“My crew was out of line and as captain, I have to take responsibility for their actions," said the rubber boy. His arm moved from one shoulder and unto the other. Now in his hold, he turned and announced to his crew with a beaming smile, "And besides, you housed and fed us back on that island so the least we can do is take you to your sister! Just let Nami know where and off we go!" And just like that, the boy ran off to who knows where.
"You have to be kidding, Luffy?" argued Sanji as the boy moved towards the top deck. He couldn't believe his captain. While he may have had a point that Usopp and Nami messed up, it didn't mean you were completely innocent. You attacked his crew blindly and brought the Marines with you.
He yelled out loud, "we can't just trust this Marine mutt. For all we know, this is some elaborate plan to capture us."
"No, trust m--" you tried to defend yourself but you were cut off.
"Shut it you! You may have tricked the rest of my crew, but I see you for what you are," accused the cook. He got in your face and continued, "a conniving selfish bastard that hurts others without a second thought. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you're the reason why your sister's hurt."
The reason why... Your ears started to ring... Am I the reason?
Sanji waited for you to lash out. He expected you to end this little charade and show your true colors for everyone to see. Instead, he was met with complete silence as you bowed your head down.
"That's enough, cook," scolded Robin as she placed a hand on your shoulder. Sanji felt the energy shift. As he looked at you, he no longer saw anger incarnated. Instead, it was grief. "Luffy is our captain. Whatever he says goes."
Realizing he crossed a line, Sanji tried to get another word in. But he was interrupted by a loud grumbling.
"SANJIIIII!" whined Luffy from the top deck, "I'm hungry!" He outstretched his arms and grabbed the cook, leaving you to your thoughts.
I knew it. It's all my fault. I messed up. I couldn’t protect her... what kind of sister am I? Your head filled with self-deprecating thoughts. Maybe this Vinsmoke is right. Maybe I am a selfish bastard.
Almost like she read your mind, Robin cradled your face and said, "hey, it's not your fault. You did everything you could for her, okay? So don't blame yourself for something that was out of your control." She pulled you in for a quick hug.
After a few minutes of deep breaths, you were able to clear your head. You couldn't help but feel embarrassed by everything that just transpired. Damn, I need to get my emotions in check.
"Honestly, maybe I should go," you said as you left Robin's grasp.
"No," interjected Nami. That caught you off guard as she was the last person you expected to advocate for you. The navigator approached you with a bright smile. Placing her hand on your shoulder, she continued, "you heard what Robin said, whatever the captain says, goes. So tell me, where are we headed to?"

Author's Note: I just like word vomiting here. I feel like this chapter was better than the last one, but I also forwent from writing action in this chapter cause damn that last chapter was so hard for me.
Also, I feel like Luffy is a little OC here in terms of his dialogue but not much in his actions. Because, all though I see Luffy as a boy (he's always been younger than me), he's pretty mature for his age so I can see him being like "hey my crew messed up, that's on me." I don't know if y'all will agree or not.
Additionally, I just want to admit that I got the title for this chapter from Hamilton (I unfortunately had a Hamilton phase in high school... but in my defense I wasn't weird weird about it... just normal weird). Cause the whole time I wrote this, the part that goes "forgiveness, can you imagine" from It's Quiet Uptown was in loop in my head.

So i came up with this idea, but how would the warlords react to MC’s dog (like a Doberman or a Rottweiler that travelled through time with her) ran all the way from Azuchi to Kasugayama (or vice versa) to find it’s owner?
Oh that’s an interesting idea! Thank you for the request!
MC’s dog searches for her everywhere.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
Nobunaga will be impressed to see a dog that travelled alone for so long just to find his owner, it will remind him of Haguro. On that note, he will consider training other animals like dogs to be obedient like that.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
Hideyoshi will lightly scold the dog for traveling all by himself to find MC, then he will proceed to give it a bath, food and a warm place to stay. It was too dangerous for the dog to travel all the way like that.
Mitsuhide Akechi.
Mitsuhide will be impressed with the dog’s resistance, he will pat the dog’s head and give him some treats that were intended for Chimaki, his pet fox. Even this dog was more courageous than some men he knew.
Masamune Date.
Masamune might be a cat person, but he will spoil the dog for doing such a good job traveling to azuchi from Kasugayama, that was definitely difficult and tiring. He will keep the dog in his manor and return him to MC when she is around.
Mitsunari Ishida.
Mitsunari will be so impressed he will commend the dog, finding him very brave to travel from such a faraway place alone. The dog will get many pets from him.
Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Ieyasu will not believe it at first, but seeing how tired and dirty the dog was, he had to believe that it traveled all alone from Kasugayama. He will first check if the dog was injured or sick to treat him and then he will give the dog back to MC.
Ranmaru Mori.
Oh you poor thing! Ranmaru will immediately care for the dog, feeling pity that the cute animal traveled alone from such a distance. He will sneak in some treats for the dog and play with it.
Keiji.
Keiji will find the dog strong and brave for coming to azuchi all alone just to find you. He will reward the dog with a full meal and head pats, not many animals can do that.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
Kenshin will be surprised by your dog’s strength, even now after reaching his destination. He will make a whole banquet for the dog to honor it, as if he was celebrating one of his soldiers.
Shingen Takeda.
Shingen will find the dog adorable and very admirable, giving him many belly rubs to reward the dog for coming such a long way. He will take care of it for a while before returning him to you, the dog was just so adorable!
Yukimura Sanada.
Yukimura love dogs, so he will adore receiving your dog at Kasugayama. He will let your dog and Muramasa, his pet wolf, play together. He might even join in to play with the two animals.
Yoshimoto Imagawa.
Ugh, look at how filthy the poor dog’s fur got from all that traveling? Yoshimoto will put it upon himself to make the dog’s fur shine and have a nice scent from the bath, he might even consider dressing the dog up but will think it would be a waste.
Sasuke.
Sasuke will smile at the dog and congratulate him for the long journey, but he won’t keep the dog with him and will immediately return him to you. Sasuke doesn’t want his pet squirrel, Kunai, to get scared by your dog.
Kanetsugu.
Kanetsugu will find the dog’s action reckless, since he could have gotten hurt from all that traveling. But he won’t nag the dog for long, instead he will order the maids to wash the dog and give it food before returning it to you.

Gotta say it as it is Doberman dislikes Spandam a lot. He thinks Spandam is thoroughly unfit for the job of leader of Cp9 ir any job for the world government and marines... born with a silver spoon in the mouth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In an ideal world, Spandam would have gotten into all the trouble for impersonating an admiral. Would have been nice to see him in Impel Down, and you know the Vice Admirals aren’t falling for it

One Piece Chapter Discussion (Chapter 1125)
Tumblr media
A little late with this chapter discussion post but life happens, eh? Anyways, getting to the chapter, we can see that Yamato’s journey continues as Yamato comes across the site of Oden Castle, now being rebuilt. The foreman, Minatomo, is missing. And based on the last page of this cover story it could be the same person who took Minatomo that Yamato stopped just a little while ago. I wonder what the purpose could be behind taking people. Maybe labour, maybe they’re building something, or maybe they’re being experimented on. I previously speculated it could be Holdem, Speed, or Hamlet, but with multiple people being taken it could be one of the higher ups, maybe even Queen or King. They might be the only ones who could actually pose a significant challenge to Yamato. Find the discussion abut the rest of the chapter below the cut!
Tumblr media
Right away we get to see Lucci come on board the government ships and claim that he killed Stussy. Now, I don’t think Oda would use valuable panels in understanding Stussy’s struggle to live and move on if she was going to be off screened, so I think it’s safe to assume that she lived and move on to more interesting ideas with that as the base. Ideas such as what this could mean for Lucci. Lucci has been a pretty clear cut bad guy from the beginning. A ruthless killer. Though it’s also clear the rest of the Cipher Pol agents love him. So maybe there’s a lot to Lucci we don’t see. Or maybe the Cipher Pol agents need to find better reasons to live together. Lucci has had an interesting journey. From being defeated by Luffy to then being on the run as Spandam had wanted to blame them for the failures at Enies Lobby to claiming spots as even more prestigious Cipher Pol agents to briefly working alongside the StrawHats to covering for Stussy. His trajectory seems to be one of redemption but very gradually.
Tumblr media
And it’s not just him. It seems a lot of hardline Marines or even uncaring Marines are having their minds slowly changed. With Kizaru going through a lot recently and now Vice Admiral Doberman questioning authority. When you can’t question authority or ask questions that’s when you know you work for an fascist power, and the rest of the Vice Admirals seeing this might trigger another small change. And it’s these small changes that bring down these large institutions of power. When the cracks begin to show and they fall apart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also get a really fast payoff to a small mystery Oda had introduced in Chapter 1123, where Vegapunk stated that the Cloud Factory would be instrumental in humanity’s survival. And now we see how. Not only would it be useful for people fleeing a flooding planet but also in getting the Satellites and Punk Records away from the world government and into the hands of allies such as the Revolutionary Army. We also see York’s smarts and quick thinking in play here where she instantly clocks what’s going on and minimizes the damage to her side. Obviously she’s a bit nearsighted with her goals but she still shares Vegapunk’s genius, which the other satellites acknowledge that they can’t stop her from having.
Tumblr media
This sequence of events is honestly so badass. Edison's reveal and then York quickly taking action. It also seems like the Stella, Vegapunk himself, is well and truly gone. And the satellites and Vegapunk’s brain being the only things remaining. I guess the fruit goes back into circulation but it still applies to his brain as the satellites talk of humanity needing 500 years to utilize it’s benefits? Not totally sure but I hope Oda clears it up. The satellites also plan to dump York’s mostly fully made body, which I guess she was setting up for herself in the future, but that also makes me think that if those bodies are retrieved, that they could serve as the foundation for a pacifista or seraphim type of soldier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s curious how Iva mentions the various giant bridges with the wolf suffix as well as Marejoi’s location on the Red Line and yet the Celestial Dragon’s also question the same event from the other side. While the Celestial Dragons may be despicable, it seems that this world was almost solely designed by Imu. And I like to give Oda the benefit of the doubt when it comes to villains so I feel like Imu must have a reason for doing what they’re doing. Something like a certain anime featuring Giant Robots, Drills, Spirals, and Anti-Spirals. That Imu has a reason to create a world that runs on greed and subjugation and the worst impulses of humanity. I find the reason hard to imagine but maybe it’s something like preventing a tragedy that Imu had already gone through and Imu’s position, so far removed from the people they rule, has blinded them to the suffering of their “subjects”. But also this is the manga where Lucci thought his best option to stop a hostage negotiation was to kill all 500 hostages. So like Imu could also just straight up be pure evil.
Tumblr media
And speaking of pure evil, Saturn finally gets his just deserts and dies in an extremely horrific way. I think Oda made the death even more horrible by adding in the reactions of the Vice Admirals, their sheer terror really sells it.
Tumblr media
This chapter also explicitly confirmed to us that Saturn indeed is quite old with this flashback being set over 200 years ago. The way Imu’s power seems to work is that Imu is, much like Joyboy, able to imbue his power into others, giving them the ability to fight on their behalf. Not only does it seem to give the Elders the ability to teleport but also to manifest themselves as sort of like summons wherever one of them goes. I think the concept of Vegapunk and his satellites was introduced to us to ease us into this concept not only with Vegapunk, but maybe even with Luffy and Gear 5. By the way before I keep going on this tangent, I would be remiss to not mention that Joyboy’s Haki is literally a form of Inherited Will passed down across the years. What brilliant thematic consistency.
Tumblr media
Anyways, back to Saturn and we see that maybe Imu’s power is what actually kept Saturn alive and immortal over the years, reducing him to bones when he dies. It’s also fascinating to see that Imu’s highest priority isn’t that information leaked or that they got the mother flame, but that Joyboy himself escaped. Is it that Joyboy is that dangerous, or that the existence of Joyoby extends the struggle for Imu or is it an ego thing?
Tumblr media
Garling also being introduced as Saturn's replacment also spells pure trouble. His Mac Tonight looking ass is a proven fighter who we've seen torture and (I assume) kill Saint Mjosgard, one of the few Celestial Dragons we've seen be a good person. And his seeming connection to Shanks could set up some interesting conflicts.
Tumblr media
Finally, I want to talk about Punk Records and Dragon’s declaration. First of all with Punk records being spirited away, Saturn takes another L. And it seems like he was killed before anyone really found that out too. This has to be one of the most satisfying villain deaths in how it went down. This guy has perpetrated so much evil across his way-too-long a life and it’s nice to see him actually stop being able to do so. Also if he’s this bad, how horrible are the rest of the Elders?  Also I wonder how long Oda had it planned that Punk Records would fly away? From it’s design as a cracked open egg, it seems like he had it in mind since the beginning. And Dragon’s declaration, punctuated by the DON!! sound effect(and not DOOM!! btw) really emphasises the ticking time bomb for this final arc. If things can't get resolved peacefully, the world will plunge into a level of war that it’s maybe never seen. And maybe that’s also what the previous war was about, a fight for habitable land. I wonder if next chapter we will get to Elbaf or if it will be more of Oda tying up loose ends. Either way, I’ll see ya next time!
